It will be be easier for you remember something have just happened in the class currently. That's why you can improve your writing skill. Listening on the radio everyday if you can. Then you try to listen clearly what they said, and you can hear how many percentage. In the same way, you can collect many news of Australia, where you are living. How about reading skill? I always embarrass of reading skill. Sometimes I confuse about the meaning of the book that i read.
In summary, you should learn everytime, and everywhere if you have a chance to communicate.

ReplyDeletei WANT TO SEE IT POSTED BEFORE YOU SLEEP ON SUNDAY NIGHT!
How you can change the way you participate in class this term?
ReplyDeletePersonally, there are a lot of way to study in class.
We must speak English in class and around school all time, because this way will help to practice and improve our speaking and listening skill. Furthermore, when we speak wrong grammar or pronunciation so classmate can correct us.We try to do many homework and write essay because if we write to much we will improve vocabulary and grammar better than.We must discuss and exchange homework and essay to classmate, they can give advices and good ideas for us. Beside that, we need to ask teacher if we are not clear or confuse anything. We not only practice and improve English in class, but also we need to practice outside and at home as: on the train, on the bus, e.g. We should listen radio, watch TV or film, read newspaper or mini-story book. It will help to improve our English better than.
Finally, I want to remind my friends never forget a sentence: LEARN MORE, LEARN FOREVER.
about Task 1: I think we should discuss more with the active way, less using Vietnamese and make the air in class become more "interesting". I see that learning grammar may be boring, but we must go through this to problem to get high mark in IELTS test. Then after school, we also practice English by listening to the IELTS audio in CD(sorry I dunno how to call that. Let 's do that as more as you can if you want to improve you English. However, we can listen to the radio or TV etc if we find out that CD is boring.
ReplyDeleteThat 's my idea, hope it helps :D

***** plz delete the comment above me(this also is mine but I don't want to use it)
I like your ideas Jason, I think everyone needs to participate to make things more interesting in the class. Also you need to take as much advantage as possible of talking to native speakers in Sydney and doing as much listening as you can. Why not try easvdropping in on a conversation on the bus/train and see how much you can understand?
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow guys!
HI everyone!
ReplyDeleteI wish you guys have a good and fun weekend.
Actually, In my opinion, I think that the way to improve our language is practice it as much as possible, write down some new word in our note and try to speak and use it with friend.
There is one special thing that we have in our hand now is the perfect English environment. In order to give the best participate in class is trying to show your ability of using English Language. Learn form everyone, help everybody is the way to improve our language skills. Try to use some new words that you know and talk to your friend, if they do not know about it then try to explain it to them by English first then change to vnmese if they stills do not understand.
In addiction, when you meet a new word or need discussing about some exercise in class. Let talk about it as much as possible in order to make the formation stay in your brain longer.
That is somethings I can share with you.
thanks a lot Mary!!! when i read my old post again,i saw many my mistakes...and i started to think that were stupid...^.^ but anyway, thanks for correcting my mistakes...

Task 1:
ReplyDeleteHi guy.
There are many many ways to improve our English. One of things is good enviroment...As you know, almost students at our school are Vietnamese, that is not realy good condition, because some student dont care the rule and lazy when speak English.when new students come to school, they copy behavior of old students and always chat ang discuss by Vietnamese language...For example, when i speak English not clear, few people mock at my mistakes or thinking that I want show-up my voice or what.I am talk a lot but because of that reason i became quite person in English. There are a little chances to improve speaking at class.
However,at this term,I dont think too much about that.just going to try my best as I can.I will use English everywhere, everytimes such as on the street, the bank, the shop,etc...Beside that, there are many English songs with lyrics in my phone,so I can improve my listening and learn how to pronounce.Furthermore,Reading Local newspapers are also good habit for our vocabulary.
Last point,I wish teacher spend more time to talk with each students to understanding what they are thinking and make us excited in lesson.
Task 2:
ReplyDeleteAccording to the above bar chart, students from an international sources were taking the various courses in Australia between 1994 and 2006. Some of students were enrolled in Higher education and ELICOS option; the others were taking Vocational education, School education and Other option.
Infact, the number of students were broken in series between 2001 and 2002 with the most significant changes in methodology and there was the new option – other option- for students’ enrolment from 2002 to 2006.
Overall, 2006 had the largest number of enrolled students (385.000) and 1994 the smallest (95.000). Other years had the number over 100.000 to nearly 200.000 in the first sery (by 2002), and the other years of the second stage (from 2002) had over 250.000 to nearly 350.000 student for each year. It is noticeable that eight years in the first part and five years in another had similar profiles for each sery ( 4 education options in first and 5 options in the second).
International students were enrolled in 4 options in both series, but the largest was Higher education, close to next was ELICOS, and in remain order was Vocational education and School education. Specifically, in the second sery (from 2002 to 2006) besides 4 traditional options, there was an other education options in every year by the same numbers with School education option
# Task 2:
ReplyDeleteThe graph illustrates the data about the number of over sea students studied in Australia from 1994 to 2006. It can be seen obviously that Higher Education students was always the highest number and the number of enrolments fluctuated in the first period from 1994 to 2201 and increased significantly in the last time.
In 2004 the number of students studied in Australia is the smallest with only 93,722 enrolments. The number of enrolments grew gradually and reached a peak at 138,419 students. There was a dip of the number of enrolments in two year 1998 and 1999: 128,906 and 133,384 respectively. Nonetheless, enrolments again rose hugely in the last two year of the first period with the final figure was 190,606 enrolments.
In the next period from 2002 to 2006, especially, there was a new type of students study in Australia and enrolments stayed constant at around 25,000. Unexpectedly, there was a boom of enrolments in 2002, the number of figure jumped up to 274,877 enrolments. The growing trend no changed until 2006 with 383,811 students. It is clear that the biggest group was higher education group with nearly haft of total number of over sea students.
There is a new post. Please move to this one once you have completed Task 2 here :)
ReplyDeleteAbout task 2:
ReplyDeleteThe graph shows the rate of international student enrolments in Australia from 1994 to 2006. The number of Higher Education took the highest rate in graph. There was a gradually increase in Higher Education from 1994 to 2006. With the ELICOS 's rate, there was a slightly rise from 1994 to 2001. This also had a small reduction from 1998 to 1999. After that, ELICOS 's rate went up quickly and steadily from 2002 to 2006. However, the School Education 's rate seemed to be the lowest. Because there was just a slightly rise from 1994 to 2006 with the only highest rate in 1996. But then, there was a rapidly rise from 2002 to 2006. The rate of Vocational Education grown gradually from 1994 to 2006. Specially, there was a steady and huge rise from 2002 to 2006 after all.
Rewrite task 2:
ReplyDeleteThe graph describes the trend of International student enrolments in Australia between 1994 to 2006. There were five groups of students, and all of groups were a significant growth above the time. Generally, the trend of higher education students rose enormously from 1994 to 2006, and the number of students grew to triple in 13 years. Similarly, the trend of ELICOS students went up moderately in the first four years. After that, there was a slight decline in the next two years. However, the student numbers was a steady growth in the seven years later. Likewise, the number of vocational education was a slow increase between 1994 to 2000, but there was a higher increase in 2000 later. Following this graph, the school education was the lowest of student numbers; this group also maintained the same level between 1994 to 2001, whereas the number of students increased to twice during five years later.
Good work Ha My. Here is your response with some corrections.
